September 23, 2005Prof. Stanton named APA fellow
9:57 a.m., Sept. 23, 2005--Mark Stanton, associate professor of psychology, has been elected a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 6, which represents behavior neuroscience and comparative psychology. APA fellow status honors a person whose work has had a national impact on the field of psychology. APA recognized Stanton’s research on the developmental psychobiology of learning and memory, on experimental approaches to better integrate human and animal research and on applications to developmental disorders. Stanton serves on the editorial boards of several psychology publications and is president of the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology. He joined the University of Delaware faculty in 2001, after leaving the neurotoxicology division of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
